I’m ready to book. How do I get started?

The first step to contact us to confirm availability and discuss your pet care needs. Then, we'll book a FREE Meet & Greet a 50-60 minute visit which includes meeting with your pet sitter, coordinating your pet sitting visits, account set-up & billing and picking up a key. If this is not performed during the initial free consult and a second visit is required there is a $10.00 fee.


How do I pay for services?

Payment for services are due at the time of the first scheduled visit.  I accept payment by cash or check only.


Do you have a pet insurance policy?

Yes, we carry pet insurance purchased through the Pet Sitters Associates membership. The policy includes commercial general liability coverage. Please ask for a copy.


What is your cancellation policy?

Early Returns/Last minute Change:  It is not unusual for trip plans to change at the last minute... However, my cancellation policy helps me to keep space available in my schedule for those who really need it.  I would hate to turn away a client because I'm  full, only to have someone cancel on short notice whose space I could of given to someone who really needed it. This occurs often around holidays & school vacation weeks, the schedule fills up, then many clients wait until the last moment to cancel.  In addition to this - as a Pet Sitter, we set aside time in our busy schedule to service clients.  Imagine a job where the work you depended on could be cancelled at any moment with no pay.  My cancellation polices are put in place so that we can serve your pets, & our clients in the most efficient & effective manner possible.


Early Returns:  If you have already booked the service and there is no cancellation within the 

24 hour visit time window there is a $15.00 fee.


Daily, Weekly Pet Sitting :  For any pet sitting visit canceled with less than a full 

24 hours notice from the start of the visit time window, there is a $15.00 fee.

(Only exception-- for natural disasters.)


For Dog Walking:  As long as the dog walking visit is canceled by 8:00 a.m. than there is no fee.  If I arrive for the walk than the full price applies.


Holiday Visits:  For any visit canceled with less than a full 48 hours notice from the start of the visit time window, payment due in full. There is an additional Holiday fee for pet sitting visits, please refer to your service agreement for those set fees.  New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Eve & Day, Christmas Eve & Day.


Holiday Scheduling: Holidays book up quickly, please book ahead ​to reserve your spot on the schedule.  We recommend booking holidays 2 weeks before each holiday.  Short notice, may incur a $5 short notice fee.


Returned Checks: There is a $15 fee for all returned checks.


Shared Pet Care Responsibility: We will not do shared pet visits, with friends, neighbors, relatives or other pet care takers-- due to liability reasons.


Every Other Day Visits: We will not do every other day pet visits for the welfare, safety of your pets and home. 


What types of animals do you care for?

We have training and experience caring for all types of pets including dogs (all breeds), some types of birds, fish, horses, livestock, and poultry.


How many pet sitting visits should I schedule for each day?

To keep your pet’s stress level at a minimum while you’re away, we recommend trying to adhere to your pet’s normal routine of eating, exercise and potty when deciding when and how often to schedule pet sitting visits.  For cats, we recommend two visits a day, and for dogs, we recommend at least three visits a day to ensure they get enough potty breaks and don’t have accidents in the house.


Do you have a referral program?

Yes! Our best advertising is a happy client!  Refer our service to a friend, family member, or 

co-worker, and we will give you 10% off towards your next scheduled service. They must mention your name when they book their service.  A gift certificate will be sent to you when their second service is complete.
